The story of TRES CAIRES dry anisette or cassalla dates back more than 100 years, and its production is carried out in our distilleries as it was then, using the same traditional recipe and is free from artificial chemical ingredients. The Liquor is distilled in three stills that are over a hundred years old and this process takes over 15 hours. The name TRES CAIRES (Three Edges) comes from the triangular shape of our bottle, which was an original design by Jordí Perelló Serra, a true entrepreneur and visionary who took the initiative to patent the bottle’s design, back in 1927. Throughout all these years, and due to its irrefutable quality, this anisette has become a true leader among the liquors produced in Majorca, for locals, visitors and tourists alike.
TRES CAIRES "Carajillo"
The most popular way of enjoying this drink is by blending it with freshly brewed coffee. The TRES CAIRES rebentat (or carajillo in Spanish) is a classic in any café or restaurant in Majorca.
Other uses and habits
Another delicious recipe to fully enjoy the flavour of coffee with our liquor is to flambé a handful of coffee grains in a glass of TRES CAIRES, it’s just perfect. An easier recipe is the one known as the Paloma: simply blend three parts water to one part anisette
